A tantanmen shop located between Honjo-Azumabashi Station on the Asakusa Line and Tokyo Skytree.
For lunch, you can get tantanmen (with soup or without), a soft‑boiled egg, and jasmine rice for 1,000 yen.
This time, I went with the soupless tantanmen.
The vinegar hits first, and the flavor leans more toward sansho pepper than chili oil.
Since I’m a fan of Hiroshima-style soupless tantanmen, this one wasn’t exactly my preference…
Maybe the with-soup version is actually the better choice here 🍜
Also, the soft‑boiled egg was cooked too hard, so I couldn’t dip the noodles into it.
Instead, after finishing the noodles, I tossed the jasmine rice and the egg together to make a mixed rice bowl.
It was… decent enough to finish.
The interior of the shop is super clean, and the shelves are lined with bottles of alcohol.
Looks like it would be a nice spot at night too.
